Gabe Gault is a Southern California native whose formative years in Venice Beach immersed him in creativity, popular culture, and vibrant community life—elements that profoundly shaped his artistic journey. A reading disability early in life led Gabe to focus entirely on art as a means of self-expression and exploration of his identity as a Black American.
Gabe describes his artistic approach as a storytelling device he calls "Standing Out and Blending In." His passion for positive activism serves as a profound artistic, mental, and spiritual inspiration, vividly reflected in his work. Gabe skillfully merges classical painting techniques with contemporary subjects, often incorporating backgrounds that juxtapose urban camouflage patterns with classical flora. Gabe is also a. pioneer in the Metaverse, where he has created beautiful VR murals, only viewable with an Meta device.
Among his notable works are the Glass City River Wall—the largest mural in the United States—the legendary Grande Ballroom in Detroit, and a feature in Complex Magazine. Gabe’s impressive list of commissions and collaborations includes Nike, Nike Air, Adidas, Genesis Motors, the NAACP, the Will and Jada Smith Foundation, UCLA's Centennial "100 Years of Activism," Netflix's AMEND (13th Amendment), the Tommie Smith Youth Athletics Foundation, and the ACLU of Southern California.
